Don't try to memorize all your passwords, memorize only one, the master password! This password manager application encrypts your data using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256).
User Permissions:
Storage (Read&Write): Necessary for creating a backup and restoring data.
Internet: BS Password keeps all your data on your device locally. However, in order to be able to offer this app for free, we serve third party ads which require internet access permission.
Note:
It is necessary that you regularly back up your data and not to lose your master password.
Backup and Restore
The master password you set is used as the encryption key to encrypt your data. When you change your master password, your database encryption key is also changed. Before you change your password, if you have a database backup, it will then be already different from that of the active database, so if you want to restore your data using this file, you will be prompted to enter the key for the backup. To avoid holding two separate passwords, we recommend that you enable automatic backup from the Settings menu. The automatic backup feature provides consistency in backup and active database keys. It does this by creating a new backup file. Alternatively, you can manually create backups after password changes. Or you will need to enter the corresponding master password during the restore process.
